L.A.  STAYCATION  +  FREE  ART  DAYS

This week has been AMAZING! Matt and I found ourselves with a dark week (also known as a week off) from the current show we are both working on. Last time we had a dark week, we packed up the car and headed to Palm Springs for some R&R (post to come on that awesome getaway) but this time we decided to do a staycation.

There are times that days together are so effortlessly down. We manage to get in this amazing groove and everything flows together. In LA, you are either in the flow or out of sync. We started the morning off making homemade flour tortillas and shooting a tutorial on our Instagram stories on how to make them. After a lazy morning and stealing a few extra cuddles (we are pros at couch lounging), we finally made it out the door around 1:30 and headed to studio city to pickup some film we had dropped off earlier for processing. Then we rounded Coldwater Canyon blvd and took it over the mountain into Beverly Hills where we stopped at my favorite park, The Will Rogers Park, for a little sun shine and to see the turtles.

Also, we were out of coffee pods for our Nespresso machine. Luckily, Beverly Hills has just such a store so we drove down Beverly drive and got our pods.  We decided to grab a bite at Bouchon’s Bakery around the corner that quickly became an impromptu picnic.

I had read that LA county residents can get into the LACMA for free after 3pm on weekdays with their ID and since it was a Friday it was open till 8! Major score factor! On top of all this amazingness we were experiencing it just happened to be Jazz night, which was the coolest happen upon I have ever witnessed in this city. The perfect top off to a romantic staycation.

Below are a few photos and videos from our time at the LACMA.
